南西諸島（石垣島及び西表島）に分布し、台湾からも記録されている。主に森林の堆葉層に生息する。体は2色に色分けされ、頭部、前胸及び尾管は褐色で、他は黄色から褐黄色。触角3節の感覚錘は背面にある2本のみ。食菌性。

This species is distributed in the Ryukyu Islands (Ishigaki Is. and Iriomote Is.), and is recorded from Taiwan. The body is bicolored: the head, prothorax and tube are brown, and the remainings are yellow to brownish yellow. The antennal segments III with only two sense cones on dorsam. Fungus-feeder.
